THE SEVEN OF DISKS – (Seven of Coins / Pentacles) – Failure – Jupiter / Saturn – Patience
Astrology: Saturn in the 3rd decan of Taurus
Seven of Disks – Failure
The Seven of Disks are falling into the fields of anarchy and destiny, and losing the harmonious peace, this is a radical fall from paradise into the abysses of fate.
Failure is the name of the card and program for its downfall, and so the Seven of Disks talk of hopes deceived and crushed, of unfilled promises, loss of fortune, dealings that first sounded good but later revealed as short-living or cheating, false successes with no lasting benefit, that in the end had cost much more than they had gained.
The hope within the card is the hand of Saturn, the father of time, who reminds us to wait for a chance instead of quickly jumping after any vague promise, to silently watch and reflect and get deeper insights into the coherences, until the time will come when a real chance shows up.
The Lord of Failure is an ‘ouch’ card, as I said in our first examination of it. It often comes up to mark difficult days where excessive demands are made upon us financially.
As with so many of the tarot cards, the resolution of problems indicated by this card lies in our own hands. Once again, we are reminded that we get back what we put out – so we must re-examine our personal attitudes about finances, material success and security when this card comes up.
If it appears to mark a time where we are in financial difficulties, we must first look at what we’re REALLY thinking. Remember. what you put your attention on grow bigger. So, if you’re worried about your overdraft, what’s going to happen? The overdraft gets bigger, and you continue to feel beleaguered by money problems. So instead you have to, by an effort of deliberate will, put your attention on your income, upon the funds you have available to you. They should then respond to your effort and grow bigger.

Suggestion: Write a complete list of your worst expectations. Grab a new sheet of paper and turn all your fears into positive opposites. Work on these lists, change them as needed, and make conscious decisions. Find someone to support you in this. Draw another card in the knowledge that you can accept your fears and put an end to them.
