About :

Four of Disks – Power

The Four of Disks asks you to examine your relationship with money. Are you accumulating wealth and investing your money wisely while still enjoying your day-to-day life? Or are you desperately clinging to every coin, afraid to spend your money for fear that you do not have enough or could lose it forever?

The Four of Disks represent success, establishment, proficiency, comfort and security not only in material values, but in familiar relations and profession either. Thus, the power it supplies is grown from peace and security, the well deserved reward for good work and concentrated effort. It has nothing to do with any ruling force, and it won’t ask for it.

On one hand, the card signifies that you have successfully managed to accomplish much of your goals and you have managed to attain a significant material wealth in the process. However, on the other hand, there is a significant chance that you will start valuing things only for their material worth.

One the dark side, the four of Disks admonishes that any overrated attachment to comfort or possession results in fear of loss and failure, avarice, greed, hoarding, the comfortable power of peace turns into an ugly force that is directed against oneself.

This card, Lord of Power, is one which reassures us of the overall security of our material life, and also suggests that we must take time to appreciate the assets provided in such abundance by the planet upon which we live.

This earth provides us with the greatest sense of security that can be experienced by a race such as ours, the ground beneath our feet; the water we drink; the food we eat; the air we breathe; the raw materials to clothe us, house us, adorn us. And for such riches, she asks nothing in return.

As a result we have neglected the planet we live upon to the extent that our excesses have taken from her beyond her ability to renew and sustain. So on a day ruled by the Lord of Power, I ask you all to give something back to Planet Earth.  This could be a crystal, blessed for her nourishment. Or a plant given in her honor. Or half an hour spent clearing rubbish strewn across her body. Or a few moments spent in adoration of her beauty. Or water spread across a barren dry patch of earth.

Drive: Stability, security, gain

Light: Assured material gain, rank, success, wealth, productivity,  savings

Reversed: Can indicate that money is slipping through your fingers and your spending habits exceed your saving habits. You may be spending unconsciously, hoping it will bring happiness, but all it does is bring you more stress and anxiety as your bank balance declines.

Keywords: Sun in Capricorn, domination, openness

Advice: The meaning of this card depends on the background of the person who drew it. Can be a warning: the person needs to confirm his or her character and integrity. Or it may be a challenge to subordinate its rules and principles to life and the impulses of the heart.
